A CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine is used in the treatment of sleep apnea. This device delivers continuous pressurized air through tubing into a mask that you wear while you sleep.
Wear your CPAP mask a few hours before bed each day to get used to it. Wear it while you read or watch TV. Also, always use it during naps and while on vacation. The process known as CPAP desensitization can help you gradually get used to your machine by using it for longer periods of time before bed each night.
